Subject: Why the hype for this being a SBD?
The show itself is phenomenal with one of the best fake-outs ever, a gorgeous Very Moon, the Nordic Trance House Dog, etc. October '99 was dark, angry, and psychedelic, and this is no exception.
There's no doubt it's worth the download. However, I think if I were to pick out shows of which I wish there were AUD recordings, this would definitely be towards the top of the list.
And oh yeah...WARNING: Magner's siren sound is freaking piercing.
Subject: One of Best Biscuits Shows...PERIOD.
I consider this show to be legendary. The jam into Memphis is the sort of thing that makes you want to quit your job and follow a band like this. Or for some, it might put you to sleep but for fans of slowly building, melodic, layered and most importantly "Patient" jams - this one is for you. You can just about experience every note. Of course, it doesn't hurt that it is a sbd. Compare this one with some of the shows where speed and volume are the main forms of jamming and it will make you fall in love all over again
Subject: Yea, crystal clarity with every nuance captured.
Overall the jamming is right on and jon plays jazzed out. Its a more melodic vibe, not as much disco trance. I like both styles, but there is a certain intensity to these kind of jams. All of it is really NICE.
